It has been a while since I posted. Not intentionally, but our life has been a little crazy. We are starting to settle in to our new digs here in Maryland and would even take some visitors! Through all the craziness, I have sat and pondered a topic for this entry to the blog. God has done some amazing things, which is way cool, but I desire to share more than what has happened in the moments of our day. I want so much more to share something God has taught me, something maybe you could all use in your life. What I have found is that in all of the business of these past weeks, I have missed out on my time with Jesus.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I have chatted with Him and thanked Him and asked Him about things and attempted to listen to Him. But other than sitting in church on Sunday morning, I have failed to worship Him. I have not sat down and focused on Him. No wonder I have trouble finding a topic for blogging. The lack of worship and focus has other effects as well. I start to feel overwhelmed and then I get cranky. It is all a vicious cycle . . . and one I intend to break today.
My goal today? Worship. I desire to focus on my Savior. Will you join me? Will you take five or ten minutes of your day to spend time with Him? It is a time to honor Him and praise Him for the God that He is. I will post another blog entry later this week. But for today, I need to be with Jesus. I would love for you to join me in worship today.
“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. The Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations” (Psalm 100).
