It's been a busy summer. I've updated my favorite

It's been a busy summer. I've updated my favorite project - it's all of our military adventures. The blue area are the duty stations we did on our own and the red are the duty stations we've done together. It's surely been an adventure.

We left Carlisle, PA and moved to Tampa, FL. Kyle also graduated War College and took command of a new unit, we went on another visit to Williamsburg, VA, Kyle and I attended a couple of balls, Kyle jumped out of a couple of airplanes, the younger kid got a driver's license and the older was dropped off at college. Adventure is a good word for it all - one only God could design....and I wouldn't trade a minute of it.

Hello!! As many of you know I work with an organization called Planting Roots, a nonprofit 501c3 that provides resources, events, and community for women in uniform and military wives around the world. Just in the first half of this year we have held three events (Alaska, Pennsylvania, and Germany), published another Bible study (Philippians: How Our Heavenly Citizenship Transforms Our Military Assignments), published a digital devotional on YouVersion (Hope in Hard Places), and continued to build community through our social media platforms. We do all of these things and more with an all-volunteer force of women in uniform and military wives.

As the Director, you can imagine how much I believe in this mission. I have been amazed as we've watched God work and am humbled that I get to be a part. Today, I'm asking if you'd like to be a part as well.

I would love for you to consider investing in what God is doing at Planting Roots. If you would like to help with my travel to upcoming events this fall, help with travel for other staff (I can provide names of those who have need -mostly traveling from OCONUS locations), or simply give to the mission, I would be honored for you to consider investing here.

Today is the day.....on this day 20 years ago this

Today is the day.....on this day 20 years ago this guy said I do to more than he ever imagined. It's been an adventure neither of us could have ever planned, but also a multitude of blessings we never deserved. Two young people who knew what hard looked like and have been amazed at the story of God's Redemption.

As we step into a new season again (anybody want to visit Florida??), I can honestly say I wouldn't want to do this life with anyone else. He's my guy, and I couldn't be more thankful.

Here's to more adventures ahead!!

Just a few of our adventures as of late. Yummy cho

Just a few of our adventures as of late. Yummy chocolate in downtown #carlisle, a cold adventure to #gettysburg, a glimpse of #washingtonscrossing at the Delaware River, a chat with Washington himself 😂, exploring the hills of #valleyforge , and a stop in downtown Philly at #independencehall . It was a great adventure and a reminder of what others have given to give us America. Happy President's Day weekend.

JOIN ME!!! If you are a woman in uniform, grab your friends and hang out with me in March. This retreat is a great time to get away, digging into the truth of Scripture and joining with others. It will be a fabulous weekend. The beds are comfy. The food is good. And the company is awesome. We'll be talking about Living Abundantly. Full transparency - you'll end up listening to me all weekend 🙂.

Also, share!! If you know other women in uniform, we'd love to have them join us! It is a easy trip up from DC, Fort Meade, Aberdeen, Detrick, Carlisle Barracks, Indian Town Gap, West Point, Annapolis.

These are some of the most amazing women. As women in uniform and military wives, they work to encourage and equip others to grow in their faith, finding strength to thrive in military life. Whether they write, do bookkeeping, create beautiful events, teach leadership, or a million other things, they all have one thing in common. Serving our Savior.
