Hello!! I am so excited you are joining us. This week I will introduce our study through my very first video blog. One word about that…grace. It is my first video blog and only took me twelve takes to get to this point ;). Below the video, you will find your homework for the week, a link to the study guide if you don’t have it already, and a few discussion questions to get us started. Feel free to share with your friends. The more the merrier! Know too that this discussion will remain on the blog and the videos can also be found on my You Tube Channel in the event someone misses a week or would like to do the study at a later date.
This will be a great adventure! Can’t wait to see what God does with this – I am stepping out into something knew which can be both exciting and scary. Glad you are along for the ride!
Things you will need for this study: Bible, Book, Study Guide.
Questions:
1. Feel free to introduce yourself!
2. What are your expectations for this study? Why did you decide to join us?
3. “Where” are you now? Not geographically necessarily, but are you married, do you work from home, do you work outside your home, volunteer, etc? Are you wondering what God would have you to do? Do you feel like you ask yourself: “Is this it?” Are you looking for a kindred spirit who loves the adventure of the Christian life like you do? “Where” are you?
Homework:
1. Read Introduction and Chapter One.
2. Complete the first week’s homework.
3. Our class at Fort Meade is going to bring a picture/graphic/something (from magazines, newspapers, online printed out, graphics they created) to show where they are now and we are going to start a collage of sorts as we walk through this study. You can either make your own collage or jot down in your notes some words and thoughts about where you are today. I would love to see your pictures, but don’t know how to pull that one off :).
Schedule:
Week 1 Discussion – September 25
Week 2 Discussion – October 2
Week 3 Discussion – October 9
Week 4 Discussion – October 23
Week 5 Discussion – October 30
Week 6 Discussion – November 6
Week 7 Discussion – November 13
I think that is all of the details. Feel free to hollar with questions. Also, don’t forget to share in the comments your answers to our three questions for today. Have I told you how excited I am about this? Feel free to pray for me and the others as we walk through this and I will do the same for you. Again, feel free to share with friends. I would love to have them join us!

I think I finally figured out how to comment on the study.
My name is Traci Payne. I am a military wife for 6 years, a mother of 4 and on an adventure myself. We joined the military later in life after already having 3 children, so after being civilian for over 30 years and making a transformation to military, it has been a wild ride for sure, but it was the best move our family could have ever made and I am thankful everyday that God blessed us with it.
Your book was introduced to me at a deployment dinner last year and I have been following your blog and facebook page since then and was so excited to see you were starting a study. I am hoping to grow more as a military wife with this study, I don’t feel like I am a very good cheerleader all the time and really need the Word to help me.
I am very blessed to be a stay at home mom, I feel grateful everyday. I just recently decided to open a at home business and my children and myself are excited to get things rolling next month. I also started back to college this fall after PCSing this summer and my husband made it a priority to try and stay at our duty station until I finish since I am always putting my degree on the back burner for him, I think that might be one reason I love him so much!! So in 3-4 years, I am hoping to have my bachleors degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition. I am a workout and health food junkie that cannot live without her coffee. I volunteer at my children’s school, VBS, Sunday School, Awana, FRG and really anytime something comes up that interests me or holds a place in my heart, I sign up for it. I always love to see other people smile, that’s why I get involved in so many things (it drives my husband nuts:))
I ask God everyday to lead me in all that I do and to guide me in all the directions I am taking. I doubt myself far too much when I make a decision about my future, I am always thinking about my husband and kids and their priorities and hoping mine don’t interfere, just the kind of girl I am.
I want to share God’s word anyway that I can. I feel such a sense of accomplishment to see a smile on anyones face when I walk in His way. I hope to grow, live and learn more and more by Him each and everyday and this study is just what I am looking for.
Thank You!

Traci – You are on quite the adventure!! Wow – God has certainly done some things in your world! So glad you are joining us! Realize that regardless of how long we have been military wives, or wives in general, we are all still learning how to be better cheerleaders. It is just a matter of continuing to seek Him. Awesome that you are able to work on your degree…and amazing that you pull it all off with family and everything else – and you still seem pretty sane :). Can’t wait to hear what God speaks to you about and where He takes you from here! Glad you are along for the ride!
